Following a major data loss, the client’s legacy website became inaccessible and its files could not be recovered. The priority was to rebuild the site’s digital presence quickly while minimizing disruption during a critical business period.

  • Recover the online presence
  • Showcase photography and video
  • Clearly communicate livestream services
  • Make the site maintainable by the client
  • Ensure a strong experience across devices

I built on the client’s existing visual identity while giving it a more contemporary digital treatment. A dark palette allowed the photography to take center stage, while a bold orange-red accent created contrast and visual cues for interaction.

The design process involved creating multiple wireframes to map out the user journey and layout for various pages.

For the homepage, I created a custom layout designed to make an immediate visual impact. Key sections include a photography-led hero, an embedded videography reel, an introduction to the client’s expertise, and a dedicated call to action for package inquiries.

One of my major strategic decisions was centralizing content management in WordPress.

Previously, the client relied on separate platforms, including a custom HTML landing page, an isolated blog, and Piwigo, a specialized image gallery system. This led to an inconsistent user experience.

I consolidated the website into WordPress, replacing those fragmented systems with one cohesive CMS that the client can maintain independently.

The rebuilt site brings the client’s portfolio, services, blog, and photography into one cohesive WordPress experience. The new custom theme gives the site a stronger visual identity while allowing the client to manage content and add new photography without relying on a developer.
